Chewing gum may help to keep your appetite in check, according to research presented at last year’s Annual Scientific Meeting of The Obesity Society. During this 60-person study, funded by the Wrigley Science Institute, it was found that chewing gum at one, two and three hour intervals after lunch reduced both hunger and desire to eat. What’s more, when later asked to eat a snack, the participants consumed an average of around 25% less.
